Wakefield.

Barbara Hepworth is one of my favourite sculptors so, during a trip to York, I visited the Hepworth Wakefield Gallery, designed by David Chipperfield.

I have a love for brutalist architecture – my favourite view was inside the gallery looking back across the river.

The juxtaposition of the flowing river and severe concrete form is completely arresting.

Bristol.

Cited as the number one city outside of London for the creative industries, I fell in love with Bristol. The Clifton Suspension bridge was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. I walked and drove across the bridge several times – the view over the gorge was spectacular and the mist only added to the drama.

Stockholm, Sweden.

I'm really interested in how cities and communities work together. I make no secret that I am a big fan of the Scandinavian countries and their way of life. In the summer, I stayed in Södermalm – I loved how the locals embraced the waterways. Despite the beach being relatively compact, it had a real buzz and was a melting pot for young and old.

Praia Dos Tres Irmaos, Portugal.

The little slither of legs blends in seamlessly and the image has a slightly voyeuristic appeal. Typically my observations are more serious but I like the humour in this composition.

Lisbon, Portugal.

Lisbon was my first visit to Portugal. I stayed at architect Pedro Matos Gameiro's holiday home in Alfama. The space consisted of two courtyards and a swimming pool but this was my favourite view.

Aarhus, Denmark.

Since becoming a mother, coffee is a lifeline. I'm also quite particular with what I drink. I prefer less but better. A trip to Aarhus wouldn't be complete without a visit to La Cabra. One of the world's best coffee roasters.
